I won the National Contest!
UBC for me, has been such a positive experience. The program was so technically simple to learn. It was incredibly fun and easy to do and I honestly looked forward to every workout. I have never been so committed to a workout program before! When I consider why I was so committed the first thing that comes to my mind is “RESULTS’! From the very beginning I felt that things were changing for me – both physically and mentally. Even more impacting are the results that you can’t really see. I walk a little taller and for the first time in a very long time, I feel beautiful and sexy. I’m not seeking approval from others, but am giving it to myself. I lost 18 lbs., 8 inches off my waist and 5% body fat!!!



I've dropped nearly 60 pounds, shed over 8 inches in my belly!

Being the nerd I am, I just wanted to say that I celebrated my one year UBC "anniversary" yesterday... I've dropped nearly 60 pounds, shed over 8 inches in my belly, and my body fat has gone from an obese level to a fitness level. Additionally, when it comes to clothing size I truly am "half the person I used to be".... My oh my, what a difference a year makes! I am so grateful for the skills I learned through UBC! -Annie Langseth

I don't need no stinkin' Silver Sneakers!
Even though all of your classes give me energy, always improve my disposition and is the best work out I’ve ever had, you have done a great thing for me personally. I have been feeling a little sorry for myself turning 65, but today I feel like a can bear hunt with a switch. Well, not really, close though. I’m sticking with the program because there is nothing else that can compare. Today’s fitness kickboxing class was exactly what I have been wanting. The techniques, beginning with the correct stance, will help me improve my balance, prevent injury and keep me fit. I had a lot of difficulty getting the kicks right, which is something I will work on. That class will keep me coming back…even when I hit 70! Actually, it will help me stay fit well into my 70′s! I don’t need no stinkin “silver” sneakers!. Thanks

I ran a 1/2 marathon!
"I completed back-to-back UBC's starting in January 2010. When I began my UBC journey, the 1.5 mile run at our initial fitness evaluation was quite the daunting task. The latest Ultimate Body Challenge in my hometown just began and I'm excited to say that I'm now a coach and finished my first ever half marathon race on Saturday. Turns out I actually enjoy running. I never would have dreamed of competing in a race such as this without my UBC experience. It's changed my body and my soul in such remarkable ways!" -Annie trains at ATA Blackbelt, Minot, ND

It was amazing how the weight starting falling off!
"It started out with a couple pounds added here, and there. I never realized how unhealthy my body really was, on top of gaining, and gaining… I got married in October 2009 and went to Hawaii for my honeymoon, got back home and printed pics off from the wedding and from Hawaii... And realized, WOW, I really need to get on the ball with losing weight… Well, I did not even know where to begin. I did not know what to eat other than salad, which no one wants to eat salad everyday, all day, I went to the gym but I didn’t even know really how to get started. So a friend of mine was already into kickboxing and asked me to come along… I was nervous about going just because I did not even know what I was really getting myself into… BUT she enjoyed the class, so I came along to try it “one” time, and I was hooked… It only took a few times before I decided to join the class. I started toning and shaping up so fast, I learned how to work out, I learned how to keep my balance, it was amazing how the weight started falling off! I did a lot of research for healthy food to eat, I went to local health food stores to get some tips, each month I was losing more and more…What I realize now is that I was implementing everything recommended by the UBC! You won’t have to do all the leg work that I did. UBC has it all charted out for you."

I completed my first MARATHON!
"I owe UBC a huge thank you! A little over a year ago I came to NWMA and was in the worst shape of my life. I started a UBC and could not get thru a warmup without wanting to leave and vomit. After the 10 weeks, I was able to not only complete the warmup, but complete the kickboxing and resistance training classes. Today, I am happy to announce that thanks to UBC, I completed my first MARATHON! This was the most difficult thing I have ever done, but the point is that I did it. I lost 14 lbs. and a total of 11.5 inches in 10 weeks!
"Over the years I've gained weight, lost weight, then gained even more back. I'm sure just about everyone can relate to that roller coaster ride! I wanted to feel better about myself and get into shape so my friend and I set out to begin our UBC journey together. The first 2 weeks of kickboxing classes were dreadful. I was a cry baby, I hurt in places I didn't even know I had. I'm telling this because I want people to understand that all of that vanished quickly. After the aches and pains were gone, I felt better. Energized and never really that hungry. I was eating healthier and more often. I was actually having fun; I believe I was becoming addicted to working out. I drove nearly 60 miles round trip in the morning and sometimes I returned to a night workout!! I wasn't crazy- I was having a really good time! I feel better, look better and when someone asks me my secret, I quick to tell them all about the UBC program. I lost 14 lbs. and a total of 11.5 inches in 10 weeks!" -April

The UBC is fun and the challenge to improve more is always there.
"The UBC Has been a wonderful program for me. Thanks to excellent kickboxing instructors and UBC coaches, I've been able to overcome some bad eating and exercise habits and change them into a much more rewarding and healthy lifestyle. No longer am I embarrassed to take my shirt off at the beach. Gone are the days of feeling lethargic and unmotivated. Over the years I've tried gym memberships with no noticeable improvements. Usually they last a month or two and then it gets boring and my attendance drops off. The UBC is fun and the challenge to improve more is always there. I lost 15 lbs. and 6% body fat."

"UBC has made a huge impact in my life! I haven't been in shape since high school and I kept gaining weight. I've been on many fad diets with quick results losing weight and even quicker results gaining it back. I've paid for gym memberships and never went more than a month. "This program has changed me dramatically. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I now wake up evey day with much more energy and excitement than ever before. UBC kickboxing and resistance band workouts are tough but in a good way. I had fun every time I worked out. The atmosphere is the best part. Everyone in the UBC was trying to achieve the same goals. "Having recently had a baby and not worked out in a couple of years, I was hesitant to sign up for the Ultimate Body Challenge because I thought I wouldn't be able to make it through the first fitness kickboxing class. Boy, was I wrong! The instructors are incredible and they gear the workout to everyone's fitness level. I was amazed at the amount of support offered by the UBC coaches. The results came! "I've struggled with weight my entire life. I think I've said "I'll start tomorrow" for the last 20 years. That was until I started the Ultimate Body Challenge. I had to change my priorities. I gave it 100% and the confidence it has given me that I've actually finished something is amazing. UBC has given me a life. I love the kickboxing workouts and look forward to working out now. "A friend wanted me to join up with her in the UBC and at first I didn't think I was that overweight but I did join with her. I quickly looked forward to going to the fitness classes each day and realized that I was losing weight and inches and feeling better about myself. Clothes I couldn't wear in years were now fitting. There wasn't a day that I didn't want to go because I knew people were waiting on me. Everyone supports everyone - it's very cool! I never thought the results would be this great. "The UBC has been life changing for me. I will retire as a firefighter in 4.5 years and I've seen many retirees experience numerous health problems after retirement (which is supposed to be a great time of our lives). I wanted to change my lifestyle and health habits. I was overweight and out of shape and I wanted to enjoy my retirement. I needed the push and motivation that comes from a team environment and UBC offered that. The coaches and kickboxing instructors really push you and I always feel great after a workout. "After my first son was born, I realized how truly unhealthy my lifestyle was. I couldn't play with him like I wanted. After my second son was born, I made a promise to myself that I would change the way I was living for my family. I joined Weight Watchers and about 6 months later I joined my friends on a UBC journey. I was up for a new challenge since Weight Watchers wasn't doing what I hoped it would. I set two goals for myself:

  1. To attend and complete the UBC program for me
  2. To better myself for my family

I Lost 12 lbs. and 3 inches off my waist!

"I have always been overweight and unhappy with myself but wasn't really motivated to change. Ten weeks ago when I started the Ultimate Body Challenge, I never would've imagined the success I achieved to be possible. The coaches were so motivating and made the kickboxing and resistance band classes fun so I actually didn't want to miss a class. "The Ultimate Body Challenge has been a really truly great experience! I was recently divorced after 26 years of marriage and didn't know what direction my life would take. I've always wanted to get into an exercise program that combined the standards of UBC and I finally did! The kickboxing workout is the absolute BEST workout I've ever had. "Food, food, food. That is all I used to think about. I didn't realize how much weight I had gained and how out of shape I was until I started the UBC. Now I'm amazed at myself.
